I went over the pits and one item on the list to fix was "Replace rear license plate bulb". Went to do so, but I can't even see a bulb there. Can someone help me with what I'm looking for. This is the underside of where my rear plate is mounted, am I meant to unscrew those two rounded covers:

Yeah just unscrew the two plastic covers.

And clean the covers man they're ****ing filthy!

Yep, two phillips head screws hold on the covers. Two covers, each with a bulb. Very easy.

Very easy to get out, take the screws out and take the covers off...

Getting the old bulb out was a pain for me first time, it was stuck after so many years. Pliers were a helpful friend.

Then just replace with some wedge bulbs or LED if you need to be fancy (they do last longer).

Honestly, I thought the bulb wa missing lol. Never even looked at that before. Didn't get why the bulbs would be hidden :p

I've unbolted and reassembled almost the whole car over it's lifetime, but I've never gone near the rear number plate lol.

The whole assembly was missing on the convertible. I had one from an OZ spec but that was too long so I ended up buying two truck lights and mounting them on a steel bar and installing that inside the bumper. A bit of paint on the back of the housings and they look like they belong
