Is anyone on here in real estate? I'm of the understanding you need to hold a real estate license to get a job, but I can't find any information on how to get one. If anyone knows of a place I should call for more info, that'd be a help too. Thanks :thumbsup:

Contact the REIQ (Real Estate Institute of Qld) in Turbo Drive Coorparoo. They will set you right. PS: Think long and hard b4 going into R/E. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I spent ~15 soul destroying years during the 80's and 90's. Did it real tough some years ... other years made megabucks but they balance each other out... You will work your arse off, have almost NO personal life (nights/weekends are peak times) and have to learn tactics that go against the grain of honest ethics... I spent the last 2 years training others on what I saw as more 'ethical' alternatives to the usual crap. Finally left the industry altogether out of frustration at the virulent, unethical default behaviours. Nothing's changed today unfortunately... Yeah, I still have a little 'baggage' !!!
I would listen to mark and myself before you go down that road. I've just pulled the pin as a real estate consultant with Harcourts QLD amd Ray White. It got to a point that I could not lie straight in bed. Just too much unethical behavour. Believe it not I have more trust in a used car salesman then a RE saleman. Give Mark or myself a call if you want to know the real crap that goes on. Just a little note 20 percent of the salesman pull in 80 percent on the money. 80 percent of the salesman pull in 20 percent of the rest. A second little figure is over 85 percent of saleman fail in the first year. Hey Mark guess what ........ I'm starting to like myself again and sleep at night. shadow
