Looks like the P plater who bought my old zed is out to make a profit. My old z for sale again After selling my beloved Z it is for sale again only 6 months later but for 2K more!!! All he did was remove he rear spoiler and respray the hatch. Used and abused then past on like an old shirt. Disapointing because I thought this guy was going to look after it. The $16K he says was spent was my money now he's selling if for more then he paied 6 moonths ago, I'm insulted. Sorry to see a good zed moving on too soon. Rant over. Sad...
i can see why his annoyed, My old Z has been traded in two times ive found out the other day... and looks .. well.. lets just say its not how i left it. But, in pushing the price up good idea, everyone add 2K onto there sale price LOL . there was a recent thread stating sales of ZX's in which 4 catagories seemed to arrise. A class (rebuilt, show, track, well looked after no expense bared Z's) B class (Well looked after, mildly modded, cared for) C class (Thrashed, trashed, poorly kept) D class (project or unregistered) I agreed with that thread greatly. At least i can understand your ranting
I'm just going to buy a bice TT in good time. I've started looking and saving. It will be a lerning curve as I never payed much attention to threads about anything turbo related. I'll be coming to the dark side as they say, looking at 2 seater, manuals about 220kw at the wheels.
I don't think it will sell for that. I started at 11500 and sold for 9500 6 months later, still a good price for an NA. I think the price for good examples is creeping up, TT's anyway.
Max....I can understand you filling a bit jibbed if he manages to sell it for that, but that aside he can sell it for what he wants...it's his car now You even said yourself anyway that you started at 11500 and came down to 9500...who says he may not do the same, everyone always puts a little bit more on than its worth to try and get closer to what they really want / expect to get after the bargaining has finished. I've had a few people try to tell me that I'm asking to much for my car, I always back my response up with solid reasons for why its worth that much but at the end of the day it's not related...I can sell it for as much as I want, obviously it's not going to sell at $100K but that's still my choice if I wanted to In regards to his ad as well...he doesn't say HE spent $16K on it, just that he has receipts for $16K that has BEEN spent on it. If anything it sounds like he has looked after it and he actually gave the whole car a respray if you read it correctly, not just the hatch....so I think it warrants the $11K price tag anyway...I think you're just having a bad Monday ...so just man up and go find a good TT to have fun in . :br: Cheers, Craig
Same thing happen to me, I sold my zed for $11 G and the guy who bought it sold it about 6 months later for $14 Gs. All he added were tint on the windows, and changed the tail pipes to twins. Oh well, I wasnt dissapointed with what I got for it though. I'll be hanging onto my current zed for some time as this one is in much better condition than the other. Stu
The guy lives one block away...he only sprayed the hatch, I've seen it. I'm mostly just disapointed that he is selling it so soon. Good cars become not so good the more they change owners.
... you sold the car, get over it and move on .... !!!!! ... from memory it had a few issues towards the end ......
His car, his money. He doesn't say he spent the $16K himself and as long as he is not making any false claims, good luck to him and I hope he gets the highest possible price. It's better for all of us 300zx owners.
