I'm trying to verify the authenticity of the k?s on my imported Z?s odometer. Apart from getting a Z expert mechanic to inspect the engine, I?m trying to contact the RAWS workshop that did the compliance.

I?ve been on the Department of Transport website and the particular workshop is a registered RAWS workshop. However I?ve been trying to ring them , but all I seem to be getting is an answering machine.

Has anyone in Queensland (specifically) dealt or know of :
Name of co: RCN Compliance Centre
Location : U2/3 Johnstone Rd, Brendale QLD, 4500

Does anyone in Brisbane or Brendale know of these guys ? I would take a drive down to Brendale myself but I?m based on the Sunny Coast and can only do it on the weekend. Appreciate any input from anyone
    Cheers

    Legit K's

Its unfortunately a well known fact that 'most' imports have been clipped before they come over. Your RAWS workshop would not be able to verify it i suspect.

Most are given a haircut before they reach the auctions there and without log books its very difficult to verify.

I think you will need to accept that your car has in fact been given a clip.
    How many k's are showing????

Call them on 07 3881 1772, I've never had an answering machine on that line. The compliance workshop will have recorded the mileage when they complied the car but that is all. If the mileage has been wound back in Japan you won't know, and if it has been wound back since it is most likely the person (dealer?) you got the car from. RCN themselves only do compliance and don't normally sell cars themselves so they will have had no reason to do it, and I've always found them to be very trustworthy.

    Ben,
Thanks for the number mate ! they confirmed when the car left the workshop it was on 65,045 KM's. It just shy of 68K at the moment. But to have the peace of mind, i might get AMEC to have a look at the timing belt.
The dealer told me that they got it changed before selling it to me, but you can nver be too sure. Still think its worth being pre-emptive and being 100% sure !
Once again, many thanks for your help!
