    hey
i just instaled a new asi 56mm rad in my car. everithing was done properly.
took the car for a spin came back and parked it in the garage,
when i came back big pool of water under the car, cheked everithing and found that the leak was coming from one of the pipes of the intake for the water pump. only starts pissing when i rew the car, works good when ideling no pissing water.
would it be just a broken hose or something wrong with the waterpump?

Are the hoses new or old? If they are old i would say that all the moving around installing new radiator may have cracked / loosened them. Doubtful waterpump seal would just go but never know...

Its probably one of the two steel stub pipes.

These corrode away and eventually fail, Suggest you pull the top pipe off and then the rubber stub pipes and have a look.

You cant leave it like this.

Also make sure you use sealant on those short pipes before you put them back. I like gaskett goo for this.

one of the bypass hoses might have split, they should be done with 100k service and if it has split chances are its well overdue, do it asap:zlove:

The 56mm radiators come with a 1.3bar cap, if you were previously running a 0.9bar cap more pressure is being exerted on your cooling pipes etc. which would explain the leak you are experiencing. Dont drive it again till you fix it, loss of pressure means higher temperatures and may cause you to overheat. Do you have an aftermarket water temp gauge?

So what was the reason for the leak? Higher pressure?

dont realy know i belive it was the hose, plus the pipe was very rusty needed a good clean. could also be that they were not tight enough more presure with the new rad?

    Yep

If those hoses are leaky, check the others in the cooling system particularly the under-plenum hoses and the heater hoses. Chances are they haven't been changed since new so if these hoses are worn, stand to reason others will be.

Also if you are TT, check the turbo inlet/outlet water lines also.
