After sending two over & confirming they arrive in less than a week (NZ to Aus) And confirming actual costs to post etc I can now set the delivered price at a firm $150 AUS.

For that price you will have mounting tabs fitted, one tab lines up with the FPC valve mount at the front & the other will line up with one of the unthreaded holes in the chassis along side where the cap for the tank is. I will now include a clip to fit this hole (some drilling may be required).

An overflow tube will be fitted as standard & the bung style lid will be standard - cap style lids are optional upon request :)

Newer tanks will hold closer to two litres but turbo cars will need to have the fuel pressure control device (only used on start up anyway) either moved or removed to make room for the tank.

I will post pictures of the new confirmed final design when I get a chance, the first four or five have been evolving as they were made in the search of (near) perfection LOL :)

Bolts & Black beast have both paid a little more but they both have unique tanks.

    Thanks guys :)
    Glenn.

I put a flare on the lower tube so that the hose cannot slip off when installed.

It is also worth noting that you would not fill to the top as tank level will increase when the car is hot.

    Updates

Here is the latest version of the tank:

As you can see I only fitted the one tab to my own personal one & that is something people can choose if they want. The new tank holds about two litres, has a breather/overflow tube and has a quick wipe over with the polish before being sent out :) (not saying a polished finish, just a little shiny)

    Price $150 Aus delivered.

Original prototype now scraped - so many hours work & I got like 50c for it as scrap metal

    :)
I need to buy a tool to do tight radius bends on the tube, my one actually has a piece of second hand air con tube in there so I could get the tight bend :)

If you apply enough heat & fit a tube over the end of it (about 10mm in) you should be able to successfully bend it down at least 45degrees or so without it kinking. It is a fine art though & you have to move it the right way - sort of pulling back as you push down so as to prevent kinking. (being thick wall tube it should be better than thin wall)

Have you got yours installed mate? please post a picture if you could :)
    Promotional & all that :D

Stand by for the upgraded version three of these tanks now featuring a full CNCd aluminium cap for much better bling factor :D

Prices in above posts are now out of date, new prices are slightly more to cover the cost of the cap improvement etc.

Will post pic of new tank when I've had time to build it.

I decided it was unnecessary as there is now a small breather hole as part of the fitting for the cap, the overflow/breather tube just ended up being extra clutter with no real purpose - that is unless you either have a serious cooling issue OR seriously overfill the bottle.

Those who wish to run with the sight level tube as discussed a while ago with John can fit a fitting to the top corner very easily & with minimal cost.

I'm looking forward to the new one for my own car as these have far nicer caps :D

I've been thinking it's about time I sorted that for my own car as I have had a couple of cases of fuel surge  Only a mater of time before BOOM! - Mungyz engine rebuild thread AGAIN!

Send me a PM of what you want and where, you never know it could end up being another bolt on kit hitting the market :D It's a great excuse to go hire the track for a day and test designs etc :D

These look fabulous Glenn. Never knew you had this project going for so long.
This would be an excellent mod for me when I go to install my larger SMIC's. As it stands now, using my Z1 SMIC's there's virtually little room behind the left hand SMIC to allow for a perfect flow of air through it. I have had after market vents installed for quite some time in the leading portions of the plastic fender lining to remove the negative pressure area behind the SMIC and increase air flow.
This is something I could spread the word around to on the Ontario Z club's forum as there's a fair number of RHD Zed members.

    Doesen´t fit a LHD?

I'm not suggesting they would however I don't have access to a LHD one to test, it's not as simple as building a mirror image for the other side as there is a fuse box in the way there as well.

They MIGHT fit on LHD or there could be a slight design change that would enable them to fit, I will check with the guys that are going to mass produce & see if they think it can be done.
