    My brother just purchased a relatively stock R31 GTSX. Yeah yeah, its hardly anything like a 300zx, however I can say that he really does want a 300zx TT, he just wants to do it gradually. The GTSX is his first turbocharged car and he didn't want to go from a 1977 Toyota Corona in all its 10hp glory to a 300hp TT 8-}

    Anyway, he is looking for a reputable mechanic for servicing and to fix a couple of things. I've seen the occasional R33 Skyline at Nisport before, does Joe work on R31s? Wykked, I guess I'm looking more in your direction here, as you probably know Joe better than anyone else.

    Are there other R31 mechanics around that people can recommend?

    Just a thought, but....

    didn't one of the Commodores come out with the turbo engine as in the R31? If so there may be somebody from a Commodore site who could help....

    Yes......>>

    Joe has years of experience as a mechanic and while he may be an expert when it comes to Zeds he has also worked on a wide range of vehicles. I'd definately speak to him about any work your brother needs having done.

    Cool......

    cos I think Joe may soon be looking at my sigma gearbox if my bro-in-law keeps delaying the repairs..:)JEDI-77

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    The VL Commode had the Nissan turbo engine

    so Holden dealers may have some clues, BUT only as regards the engine. You really need to seek out a Nissan (read R31, etc) specialist.
