Hey guys just wanna know if these will fit and how they'll sit on the car.

    18x8.5+39
    18x9.5+45

Cheers... Oh 2+2 NA if that makes a difference...

They will all sit in about 10mm from a "flush" look.

...but in saying that, they WILL fit, and you won't have to do any guard lip rolling of any kind.

The only limitation would be the rears may only be able to fit a 265 on them with the +45 offset, any fatter and there "may" be a chance of the tyre catching on your fuel filler pipe cover, but if this happens, just remove the cover :)

Yeah they'll fit, a little inside the guards then the ideal fit, but only by 3-5mm.

    275 tyre will be perfect.

Sweet thanks for the info. Just trying to visualise here, the stock wheels(whats on there now) don't really have a 'flush' look do they? Do they sit in as well or would the offsets i mentioned above sit in further then stock?

Ahh sweet thanks. Was a little worried they'd look to sunken, but that sounds ok :D

Too sunken for my liking, would look perfect with 5mm hubcentric spacers front and rear.

hmmm ok will have a think about it. They dont have tyres on them so doing a test fit might not help too much... I've heard mixed things about spacers though, i'm assuming the hubcentric spacers are the ones which bolt to the actual hub?

You can get both bolt up hubcentric spacers or slip-on hubcentric spacers with longer studs. For a 5mm spacer i think you will only be able to find the "slip-on" type.

    General "safe guide"
    rear width 9"-10" offset +35 - +45
    front width 8"-9" offset +25 - +35

DinoZ Talks sh#t for a living.

My sigpic - rear is 9.5 rim with +40 offset so you will be in a bit further. Rim is 17 with 255/40 tyre.

If yours is 9.5" + 40 roll your guards and put a 295/35/17 on them :D

    295's on a 9.5" rim your going to want a 30 profile...no larger.

Im looking at a set right now
    18x10 -1 offset

On a 17" rim the profile is 40 all the way up to a 285/40/17, no 30 series profile only a 295/35/17.
My TT i just picked up has 17x9.5" +38 on rear, i got excited as i thought i could get a 295/30 or 285/30, but unlucky.

Whats wrong with a 295/35? Too much sidewall flex?

Are you planning on a wide body?!

When you run tyres at the upper end of possible fitment, you want to minimise the amount of sidewall and thus flex you have on them. Reason being that to much give in the sidewall can rip the tyre off the rim on the track, or just on the road for that matter.

Thought that would have been the case, well i might get rid of the 17's and try find some nice 18's

Wide body was my first idea, untill i found the prices to be (high in the sky)so ill be building my own kit.BUT i will see how the wheels sit on the car first as im going 235/40 on a 10'' wide rim (stretching).if the tyres sit under the guards then no widebody.

  18. AndyMac

    AndyMac Better than you

The edge of a 10" rim on a 0 offset will sit about 2" outside the guard. Even with 235 stretched you'll still need to flare and run some wild camber to get those inside on compression.

so what do you think about my taste?overkill or crazy

Crazy. Don't get them. I'd listen to people who actually know if i were you....
And even if you put 235's on these 10" rims, it would be dangerous!!! Fark all traction in any weather too.... :bash:
