I was driving round today and noticed when I pulled out there was a leak on the garage floor.. Coolant, from the front of the engine, leaking down from underneath the Crank Pulley (looks) If anyone knows/is familiar with what this may be, or what may be near the crank pulley, that could potentially leak coolant, please help... Thanks in advance.
Possible Answer There are 2 small hoses up near the thermostat that commonly leak and coolant could run down to the crank pulley. Have a look in the tech section for "Radiator removal and thermostat replacement"
Check out Zed4life's article Click here And look for bypass hoses. You can grab a set from TTZ. They are fiddly to fit but can be done by the home mechanic.
Hey Dude You still alive, where have you been? Youv'e been very quite of late. probably the water pump leaking, or the two hoses that attach to it, need to get the front covers off to have a look see.
Heya.... Hey Ron, Yeah, still going strong, been driving the Zed a lot, now that it hasn't been having problems every 3 days But, now it's got one, so I've gotta fix it, DAMN IT... I'l be looking at everything, to try and get it fix, hopefully it doesn't cost me a lot to fix!!
Well, it's not the hoses near the thermostat... Ron, you say there are hoses connecting to the water pump?? are they underneath? I have the front timing covers off... will I need to start pulling off belts to get to the pump hoses as well as the lower "covers"?? Thanks. I may be able to resolve this tomorrow.. hopefully.
