    hey guys,

not postin these so i can get flamed, just sharing for ppl who are short on cash

here are my rims i sprayed this morning

job look about 3 hours all up cost me $30 (had some spray stuff), and yea, i know itll need a recoat, but its a change, i cant afford rims atm, im off to england in 2 weeks time and its costin me a bomb so i wanted a quick change to the wheels seeing as the front ones had loads of sh!t from the brakes on them

i will be paintin the Z in the middle yellow next weekend and will be putting a yellow line around the outside and probs yellow calipers while im at it

im aware these need another coat of paint, im aware i shudnt have sprayed them, i am aware my car needs a clean but WHO CARES.

What sort of paint did you use? I'm wondering if the heat off the brakes would be an issue?

After a long drive the other day through the city (stop/starts) during rain, I was sitting at the lights and my wheels were all smoking. Looked so cool haha.

i used White Knight SLS Primer, 2 coats, White Knights Rust Guard Matt Black, 4 coats, then 3 coats of a clear White Knight Gloss Acrylic, tho it looks like a matt finish cos of the matt black soaks alot of the gloss finish up, its more or a Satin finish, not bad seeing as i only decided to do it on friday night.

i dint think much about the heat lol, that rust guard paint is good stuff, im 70% sure it has an okay temp rating. ill read on the can later on n find out.

thanks for the positive feedback, was really expecting to get flamed for this :D

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

lol looks sooo bad. green is possbily the worst colour ever on a zeds rims. little own green on a WHITE zed. :vomit::lame:

but the black rims look great. my mate did it on his 180 type x on the stock rims. he did a red outline. and then he put nissan badges(chromed) in the middle.

i would do that to mine but they are in the back yard being polished everynight :D

might sell them tho.. they are so shiny i almost burn my hand on the bbq like on that duck toilet add haha.

    keep up the good work.
    rod.
