Hay people, I just picked up my zed on Friday and I have a couple of questions for you..... firstly with all the rain we're havin in "sunny" QLD my targas are leaking slightly. I think its just that the drainage hole are filled with crap....whats the easiest way to clean them out? Also can someone please tell me what front bar I've got. Thanks
Thats a pretty rare front bar not many people have it dont know if it even has a name, uas sell it http://www.uniqueautosports.com.au
Yep, looks like a UAS big mouth front bar........ don't see them on the road much. I call them the "temporary bar" 'cause they aint gonna be around long when you try to scoop up a speed hump with that "cow catcher" bottom lip  . You will have to be "vewey careful" with that one  As for the drain holes, I clean them out with an old wire coat hanger then pour warm soapy water down them to flush out. Oh, and welcome to the forum

Leaking Targa There was a Thread about leaking targas about a month or two ago. To clean out my tubes I used some plastic cord from the grass edger. It is quite stiff, about 2mm in diameter and does no damage (I hope) to the paint. Then I blew them out with compressed air. The suggestion about the leaks was that you spray silicone on the rubbers and let it dry. It leaves a shiny finish that repels water and improves the seal without damaging the rubber. I have tried it but it has not rained here since, so I still do not know for sure if it will work. Do not use vaseline or other petroleum product as it will apparently attack the rubber. Another suggestion was that you can lift the window by adjusting the lower support. Sounds a bit drastic as you have to take the door trim off.
