V8 kit cars are a bit tough Like the Cobra and GT40, they have every advantage over a production car. All you can do though eh Pete is to keep dropping your times, plus having fun
Well done. In the speed series over here I normally go up 2 or 3 GT40's. They must be driven differently over there because they aren't a real concern over here. I wanna come play with you guys!
Hey Franz............ .....put me on your list as the first pupil:thumbsup: Also contact www.totaldriver.com.au, for driving instructor positions (a Queensland Co.) Someone else may help with some other ideas perhaps re photography etc.,
There are quite a few oppurtunities over there it seems... ...tempting... will see what happens. I'm on a pretty good wicket here at the moment!
Just think.................. .....if you are based say in NSW you can go either North (QLD) or South (VIC) to do your photography and driving tuition. Of course we would prefer QLD as your base:thumbsup:
At the moment... ...my full time position is Information Systems Manager at a CCTV/Access Control Firm. With this I get a car and alot of expenses paid. First part time job is photography for Perth Street Car Magazine aswell as freelance. Second part time job is Performance Driving Instructor for MC Motorsport/DTEC/AHG Driving Centre. As well as that at the moment I don't pay rent and I live 5 minutes from work. Its all pretty hard to beat really!
**** STAY THERE ******* .....mate, stay there!!!! You are on a good wicket. Come over for a holiday one day. I am sure we can get some pupils together for you when you do:thumbsup:.
Haha... Holidays are definately on the cards. I wanna come play with you guys. Im also still keen to get my zed over east. Will have to see how things plan out with the Dutton aswell!
Start planning NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2007 Z Nationals (or Nissan Nationals, whatever it will be called) should be on over the Easter period next year in Victoria. I am a member of NDSOC (Nissan Datsun Sportscar Owners Club) which will have organisational responsibility. No details yet though.
Im hearing Winton is the most likely at this stage. Im in wherever it is, should have some improvements by then.
being an IT manager you could always keep a lookout for brisbane jobs on seek.com.au etc. would also give you an opportunity to get into the property market here, a pretty good time to buy at the moment as the market is flat.
I would have guessed at Winton ... ... but over the past few months the club seems to have developed a relationship with Calder Raceway, now having had 3 events organised there in the last year (2 drag meets, 1 sprint + khana day). Also 2 club members 260Z's were used in promotion for the recent Rally Masters. I would rule out Sandown (Easternats), Phillip Island (cost), so its down to Calder vs Winton. This year Calder has the Muscle Car Nationals at Easter, which a) seems silly to me as it will compete with Sandown for both entries and spectators, and b) if repeated next year will leave Winton as just about the only option.
