We blitzed 'em at QR today, did a new PB of 57.5 seconds. got the lap timer working too made Porsches look very slow on his comeback, AZA did a solid 63 second lap in his NA with help from the new Haltech ECU we installed during the week. way to go!!
it was a good day after not really done many track days for 12 months took the good ole NA out for a strap 2 new shoes on the front nice RE55S's mmmmm well day started a lil slow with only a 64.8 i think it was well not bad seen i hadnt been out for awhile. second run was a lil quicker with a 64.23, there was a spin that had us restart the run again, all was going great was gettin into form then one of the last lasts an S2000 lost diff oil on one of the corners which i found very easy and i went into a nice drift/spin around the corner, while sideway i look out the drivers window and see 2 3 4 or so cars slidin and going this way and that slippin in the oil and trying to avoid me i nearly needed to change my pants lol. third and final run well i was talkn to the guys in the S2000's alot of the day and one did a 63.8 well i could have him beat the AZA mobile so i let loose and pushed pretty hard lap after lap and finally pulled off a 63.59 which im very happy with only .79 off my personal best and i beat 2 of the S2000's only small concern for the day was had the temp gauge go up abit but i put a lil of that down to lookin down at one stage and the tacho read 7,500 seems the haltech is set to 8400rpm limit will have to get that changed more tuning on the haltech is needed also as we arent sure if the VVT was even switched on and workin found out serial to USB on haltech doent work anyways im lookin forward to phillip island now :zlove:
57.5 is an excellent time, well done Pete. And AZA for having a good go. Those Porsche GT3's are slow, well the drivers are anyway. The three S30 Zeds there were all doing ~62.5 laps as a comparison between the old and the not so old.

ended up being 2nd fastest car overall on the day and fastest in its class, beaten by an EVO 8 that did a 57.12. At one point I was following one of the EVOs around turns 1 and 2 and watching the intelligent steering system they have at work. the car would be fully at the limit of adhesion, and the ass end would start to snap out, only for the system to take over and correct itself. obviously the driver was pushing hard because the Z was right up on it's bumper :zlove: full results here: http://www.queenslandraceway.com.au/sas-points.xls
geee im lucky lol im in the same category as WRX's for one and for a nice kick in the balls porche GT3's lol well i guess for a NA 300 i dont do to bad against them only 2.6 secs behind a GT3 thats gotta be worth something lol maybe the 200,000 makes up for that 2.6 secs ah i do it for the fun factor thou its great being out at the track and be able to talk to others that are out for a bit of freindly competition. wondering if i should throw a turbo on just to move up a class and get more than 1 point per run thou lol would be good to see a few Z's at the next track day in april even as spectators..
