Thanks first of all has to go out to Proline Automotive -Ph;(07)5540 7900- for a great day, use of their workshop, and putting on lunch + drinks!!! Secondly, Thanks again to K-zed for another well planned and enjoyable zed day out. Im sure all QLD attenders had a great day, and got many jobs done. Welcome to all the newies that came today. Im glad the heat didn't keep you all away! We hope to see you again! Now for the pics(sorry they are rather average) Firstly, Dink(Ben) one of our first timers heading down to the meet point with us brisbaners. Next we have Grenfel. He hasn't stopped smiling since he got that zed  Next we all arrive at Proline! More at Proline Fleet finally got his Z flag/banner. It looks veeery nice! It didn't stay on his car long. I think it looks better on mine  PEX dropped by to say hi, and check things out. Things were well underway by that time! Another carpark shot. Note ZGurl's baby is back, and looking great!! The chrome wheels look awesome. Love the respray as well! Another shot of PEX and ZGurl and in the background we have Dink and the unkown grey zed. Whos is that one? (Sorry hard to remember!) Lastly, my zed with zed4life's mean machine in the background. I would have liked to have more pics, especially of the new zedders, and ZGurls rebuild, but I was busy with my own zed! After all the jobs were done we headed off through the cane fields for a quick run and stopped for a cold ale at the Jacobs Well pub! Great fun! I think there was 22 zeds in total today, which is great!!! Thanks again Proline and K-zed for a great day, and again, sorry for the average pictures.
 Was great to check out Proline & catch up with everyone. Thanks to all involved for putting on a great day. PS nice pics :zlove: Cheers, Rich
Thanks to Proline and K-Zed An awesome day was had by all.:thumbsup: to the guys at Proline and to Rob for organising this day. The workshop was so clean you could eat out of it...so we did! A great Proline feed and drinks. It was good to see all the QLD Zedders again and to meet the newbies. Looking forward to the next cruiZe.
Thanks to all A big "THANKS" to Proline and K-ZED for sponsoring and organising the day. Although I was only able to drop through and say hello, and then again at the end of day with my wife, it was great to finally put a face to the names. My little 12 month old "Zedette" as she has been christened found it all fascinating too. Was good to join you on the cruize, and again, we would have loved to stay for a few bevvies, but committment called again. Hopefully the next event can be held on a Sunday. The pics look good brentOn, but they can't convey the great atmosphere of the day. In all, I was thrilled to at least get down there and see all the other great cars and people. Greg, Tammy and Caitlyn
Wish we got a photo of ... The proline boys wincing when they saw 20+ zeds racing into their (clean) workshop Grenfel's face when his 6 pt immobiliser/alarm wouldn't turn off My bleeding ears from the above Dink's face after an A1 consult report Kalus smiling Kalus with not one smartarse crack! CBZX not smiling Chewy turning up Chewy smiling DinoZ and I dissecting workshop manual wiring colours Candu's perpetually empty wine glass K-Zed's skinny white legs My muscular, tanned quads and calves The proline boys sighing a relief when they saw 20+ zeds racing out of their (now dirty) workshop
Thanks all for coming  ... makes the effort worthwhile! Lindsay & Scott @ PROLINE really looked after us ... thanks guys. Nice BIG clean workshop! A great Tech Day can only be possible with the willing assistance of ppl like Chris/CBZX, Mark/Zed4life, Clyde/WILDMAN & Cassie/PSA ... who performed brake pad change on Noel/GRINGO. [Do you do outcalls, Cass?] MikeZ did a number of ConZults & resident guru's, Chewy & Kalus provided 'invaluable' technical assistance throughout the day, I think 23 or 24 Zeds counted I believe, lotsa nice ppl including new members, Dink, DinoZ, PexZed .... ... sorry if I've missed someone, but thanks again for making it a top day. (I trust all ASCD mods tested well on the way home & no revenue was contributed to State coffers.)
Not forgetting... Kalus helping Z Gurl reverse out of the workshop Chewy resisting the temptation to polish something (do these 2 remind you of the Old Muppets sitting in the balcony or what??) Fleet's dazzling new Microtech Grenfel's "boot sized" tool kit as he pulled apart his new Zed. Better put a set of ear plugs in it for next time. "Luck aka Fate"'s car back in action and pumping out some speed again The awesome spread put on by Proline (although lacking in chicken legs) And we can't forget PSA (passenger seat accessory) aka Cass showing the guys up by changing Gringo's brake pads for him. Cheers MikeZ (now which one was Zed4life and which one was K-Zed?)
If posted my thoughts here i would just be re-iterating what's already been said - a top day, and a big thanks to everyone involved in making it happen! Keep on Zedding Pete
You 4got to mention:- Your skinnier, whiter legs  Pipere/ZGurl's pink Zed Cass's dirty hands Your clean hands  Kyne's empty glass (never saw it either) And ... Chewy's bare feet Was a fun day. Next Tech Day it's a Chewy/Kalus EVENT
Hi Brenton - good write up. The unknown Z in pic #9 is mine. And it's Charcoal Pearl to you not grey!! CheerZ Cliff:zlove:
Thanks everyone! I think my ears are still ringing! Sorry everyone for the racket... I got a chunk of work done to my car, and of course now have the assortment of left over screws that don't fit the left over empty screw holes... In the end all of the bits and pieces from my toolkit were accounted for. The way everyone was hanging around like vultures I would have thought several things would have been spirited away Here are two pics of my own. After this point I was too busy working/driving to take any pics - we need another newbie without a Zed to take photos all day long... Meeting point at Yatala (Our cars were parked all over the place so I didn't bother with them): Cheers everyone and meet you at the next event, Shaun (Grenfel).
qld tech day i know it has all been said but yesterday's event really was something worth SHOUTING about !!!!:thumbsup: thanks k-zed,proline and all those who who jumped im to help the technically incompetent:unsure::embarrassed: such as me !!! you guys/gals are really something else .. baz ...black is beautiful!!!!
Awesome Day Once Again! Big thanks to Rob for organising and Proline for hosting a brilliant day. It was great to catch up with everyone and hope to see you all on the next cruise.:zlove:
qld tech day oh my god, i have done it again ...!! i forgot to add that apart from having my 105kpm cruise control limiter "done" and the source of my nasty "clunk" was identified as a r/s centre bearing ... perhaps the best of all was the discovery that i have "an almost"/claytons TT instead of an ordinary N/A, given that some unknown previous owner had fitted a T/T intake:thumbsup: what a way to add another post and update my profile!!!! thanks again to all ... baz ...black is beautiful!!!!!
