A VIDEO clip of the days happenings Thanks for making a great day happen Greg..... it was A1 ! http://media.putfile.com/300zx-cruise The video is 3 1/2 minutes and 25 Meg......sorry 56k connectors. Once again......had a great day.
Don't suppose anyone can email this to me? A copy of the vid I mean - I can't get onto putfile from work pc and can't wait til I get home to see it...
Looked like an awesome day for you guys! Did you mount the camera facing backwards or did your passenger have to hold on tightly? hehe Any chance of a downloadable file apposed to steaming? http://www.filelodge.com free 500meg of space only limit is 50meg per file. You've given me plenty of ideas for when I get to go on my next cruise! Nice work <thumbs up>
Camera info... Hey..... The footage from the rear is from a small camera mounted on the outside of the back glass. It is a 440 line CCD camera. CMOS is poor quality in this style of camera. It had a 'pinhole' lense and I think 3.5mm focal length.........hence the poor quality.....but it was all I had on hand. You should use a 'button' hole lensed camera. A 3-4mm lense will give a nice wide view similar to what you see. A 8mm lense will 'zoom' in a lot closer.....but when vehicles overtake you....you will loose them quicker to the side. Secure the camera to a suction cap for easy installation. Use a 12v 'gel' cell battery for power......or the cars power system.....but you can get problems from this if you are unlucky. Footage out the front was from a hand held ( you can't half tell!) 3CCD Panasonic Camcorder. Ideally the passenger should have a short tripod to stabalize the image. I also use a 6 inch suction cap and various mounts to secure it to the side or rear glass on the inside....this work well. I am trying to host the file at filelodge.com.....but it is dropping out on the upload ATM.
That is amazing!!! Great editing mate. double thumbs-up! Thanks to Greg, Tammy, Rob, and anyone else involved. I had a ball. It was great to see some new members along with some 'ol favourites too!!! Can't wait for the next one! Cheers, Ben.

CruiZe Hey all. I had a blast on Sunday - it was great fun! Great to get out and about a bit. Thanks to everyone you all make it terrific - but special thanks to Greg and Tammy for going to the effort of organising such a great cruise. Also thanks to Chris (MrTT) my chauffeur for the day.
dam that has put the videos i have made> to shame lol. on another note what happened to you guys when we left esk and went up the mountain??
cruise fuel consumption ... for comparison purposes .. 491 kms .. 51 litres ...10.39 litres per 100 km .. probably not too bad given the driving conditions ... lol...!!!!!
I am waiting patiently to get a copy of this vid sent via email Did you get my PM containing email addy Watr?
