looking sexyyyyyy. having the inside of the lights chrome really updates the car, although it is goldish... looks very clean mate how nice does it look with no windscreen wipers lol dam they are ugly things
yeah damn wipers lol! i will get around to putting them back on eventually. even though ill never drive this thing in the rain intentionally. the chrome in the headlights went gold after a while but it still looks good and contrasts nicely against the black. anything to be unique
my idea good to see some one had the balls to do it i didn't think it would fit looks good needs twin turbo thou could fit them in front bar under headlights relocate radiator over flow bottle along with window washing bottle and make room that was my plan if it ain't an 8 it ain't great, thats what my mates say
fits better than the VG once you cut a hole in the firewall :rofl: i would rather stay NA this time around. nothing like a tough NA motor with its simplicity. this motor has 1 vacuum line for example lol and thats just for the fuel vapour purge
Congratulations on a job well done. What is the power output of the L98 crate motor? How does it compare to the LS3? After driving a LS3 Corvette with 6sp Auto paddle shifts around last week I got to thinking how bloody good that would be in the Z. The acceleration in that car when floored at 70mph was insane. The vette weighs around 1500kg too, similar to the Zed. I have also driven a HSV GTS and you wouldnt even know its the same engine with the extra 400kg to lug around, felt much slower. Be interesting to know how much weight your Z has dropped, must handle better now too with the lighter front end.
ive had the pleasure of being a passenger in kurts beast... tell u what that engine in the zed is the perfect combination. the car is on a whole nother level its off chops .. purely insane id swap my 3.2 for it no worries
GM quote 270kw thats with factory exhaust and airbox etc where as the LS3 is rated at 317kw. I am going to be weighing the car as soon as i get the opportunity as i'm also very interested to see the weight
ive been in a new hsv gts and god was that crazy... launch control at 4000rpm... not a toy.. look at getting your car charged... would be killer fast..

haha a hsv gts is almost 2.4 tons.. kurts z is now less than 1400 by a mile. this car is a absolute animal as is.. even on a STOCK TUNE stock cam..

Yeah its stock at the moment. Soon to be changed though, just undecided on what to put in there.. Probably either Tein SS or BC BR Coilovers depends which i can get with the appropriate spring rates. The headlights were never meant to be gold, they just went that way after time. This is a common problem when you get that plastic bit chromed. I must say, it has grown on me though, everyone tells me i've left my headlights on though If the car was another colour it would look weird for sure.
I believe Kurt had the plastic inserts chrome coated, but over time they have changed appearance and now look gold.

Love this car, was out at Rays when it was being built and when your dads car was up on the hoist. Is his car finished? I think I may have seen it on Tonkin last week
