    Do you

suspect this is the cause off your misfire Nial. Did you use a stock H/ gasket.

I suspect the missfire may have caused the failure. It wasnt good for the car.

You wouldnt belive it, I dont have the cutting out/missfire problem anymore.

I dont think i want to be a zedder anymore.

Easy fix, rip the engine out and a new gasket with the possibility of new heads. Do it in a day if we tried ;)

What do you reckon caused the problem? Cooling system, parts failure, or 'user error'? Angle torqued the head bolts up? New bolts I trust?

Maybe the heads you used where out of spec and you missed it?

I think the pinging and missing might have damaged the gasket. New bolts and everything done to spec.

Maybe we can have a northside tech day and knock it over.

The cooling system " appears" to be ok. New thermostat and water pump installed. The water temp is right where it should be, even after a thrash it doesnt get hot at all. not using any water at all, But after even a short runt here does seem to be a decent bit of pressure int he cooling system. At this stage im going to ignore that and see what pans out.

Ive decided to go through and do all the overdue maintanance and upgrades the Rollin mobile has needed for a while.

    This includes.

    Tailshaft unis and center bearing
    LHR wheel bearing.
    Drilled rear disks and pads
    Camber correction on the front.
    AVCR installation
    Solve cutting out problem!!!!!
    Long overdue bonnet repair
    New engine loom terminals
    New center mufflers
Power steer and brake fluid leak
    Drivers door rattles

I still havent had a chance to max out the boost and shoot for the stock turbo power record. so once these things are done and the AVCR is set up , then it will be time for Northside mini dyno day - take 3 :D
