Quite a few. See inside for links

    Hi,

I believe quite a few people here have got cars through prestige with mostly good things to say about them.

Blipman (Ben) on these forums also has a good record and if you PM him he can probably tell you more about Jspec which is the company he works for that also imports.

Try a search for more info on this like what you'd get from: This Thread

    short and sweet

got my zed from prestige. i wouldn't bother using your download limit to actually view his website. go with blipman he is a fellow zed owner. prestige and their associates at the docks wouldn't even know how to spell customer service

I got my Zed from prestige

Car was delivered as described and in the timeframe as specified. I think the customs guys in WA let the team down over there, the guys I got in Melb were fantastic. The whole Process was very transparent from my point of view, he arranged everything.
The only thing I didnt like about Prestige was they wernt willing share any of the risk associated with bringing the car over. They have a very lengthy terms and conditions page which you are expected to sign and agree to and alot goes against better judgement.

Having now met Blipman personally I would use him, I prefer to deal face to face with people.

    Fat Geoff

Trust me do not go with that fat bastard Geoff from Prestige he is a rip off and jacked up the price of my car, i got delays galore with it and to top it off the car was not as described yet he makes you sign a form so no matter what condition he told you the car was in when it turns up if its totally differnet to what you were told you have no legs to stand on go with J-Spec or the other guy Blipman not that fukwit Geoff.

    From my experience

The best option (and after many months of investigating the option I chose) is to find a car that is fresh off the boat, you will get a similar price to what you would landed through Prestige, but because it is already landed you can inspect before agreeing to purchase. Mine cost me $9600 landed, it is a TT manual 4 seater black with leather and cruise. The car required some small maintenance and I got the 100,000km service done, all in all on the road for around $13k with compliance, 12 months rego & some extra bits I added. However the bonus of this was that I got a landed price similar if not better than I would have through Prestige or J-Spec and I got to see before hand, I did not find any extra work to be done other than what I knew about from the initial inspection. See my post - "I love my zed".:zlove:

There are still a few cars like this around although not as many as there used to be, depending on what you want I have access to some. Also means less waiting as the car is already in Aus.

    Prestige and the hoonmobile

I brought from geoff about 1 year ago now and so far so good, the car was everything that i expected. but in saying that i didnt expect to get a show car that was immaculate and really well looked after.
All i wanted was a fast car that would be fun to drive on the road and the track, but it had to be good bang for bucks. And i feel that prestige delivered the goods, i would reccomend them. i dont know about any of the other importers, but really its all about what you want and who has it basically.

good luck with whoever you choose to go with.

Yep! Got my beautiful Z from Prestige about 4 months ago

Everything worked out well, the car was exactly as specified the the service is very good especially considering how busy the guy must be. I really like the fact that Geoff deals with u on a person to person basis and there are no other people u have to deal with.

Of course there is a risk whenever u import a car, and especially if u buy it straight from auction that there are things that could have been undetectible from a quick check over by the suppliers. but as long as u understand the limitations there, and are prepared to take the risks involved in any importation then Geoff from Prestige was good to me so i would recomend him for sure

U can really on Geoff to be totally honest about the condition of the cars, i even had him telling me to steer clear of ceartain cars that came up for auction which i showed interest in. and in the end he got me an absolutly beautiful Z.

    To be Fair

I bought my Zed from Geof. Like anyone hes a businessman trying to earn a buck. Lets face it, we can try to minimise our risk but in the end its a gamble. He doesnt know any more than we do really other than he knew the buyer mine came through (family friend) and according to Geof, trusts his judgement. In my case I paid towards the top end of the range but my Zed was immaculate.

On the other hand you hear rumours, but on balance I found him to be fair and I got a good deal. If you want to buy a Zed that you take no risks with, buy one from a yard, but you will pay considerably more for the same car.

    Cheers
