Have spoken to the operator of the closest Dyno to where I live and tentatively booked some time in the coming weeks . I have a SWAT chip allready in my ECU and have another Wolf imitation type chip that I want to test also . I have just bought new plugs and will do oil and filters before . As the guy on the Dyno predominantly works on Holden and Fords is there anything I can do prior or during to benefit . I am under the impression to watch what my air/fuel ratio is and maintain around 12? . I am hoping that with the performance chip installed I may be able to up the boost or advance the timing a bit more without detonation . As you can probably guess I have never had a car on a dyno before so am a bit ignorant .Thanks .

    do yourself a favor

and do a ecu diagnostic b4 u go on the dyno...i didnt and found out on the dyno i was on safety boost...waste of 75 bucks...but hey she still pulled 240rwhp:)

and once i had my knock sensor fixed...i pulled 306rwhp:):p

just another thing to consider mate.

    Question

Mate, I recently had my ecu done to see what the car was doing and mechanic told me he couldn't wipe the knock sensor code.

    Did this happen to you?
With this on my ecu do you think I'm only running 5-6 safety boost?

    Sry to hijack thread MIDLIFE

Ok . well I admit i have not done an ECU diagnosis since buying the car (but had one done pre purchase and was given the thumbs up by Nissmo in Vic). I have not noticed any drop in performance since the purchase and am still registering full scale (or close too) on the factory gauge . Which even allowing for gauge inaccuracies would tell me I am not being limited to safety boost .will do some reading though and may carry out one prior to dyno to be sure .
