WA Powercruise 2011 - 29th Sep - 2nd Oct

Would be good to have a few zeds there this year.

I entered this event a couple of years back in my R32, it is the most fun you can have on a weekend with your clothes on.

They do not do group entry but do have a group show and shine award.

You can pay on the day, or anytime before the cut off days.

If any interest is put up i will post more info and everything.

Pre Paid before 19th August 2011 $--- (Includes 1 driver pass & 1 vehicle pass)

Going on last years prices i think they were before aug was $170 and before sep was $200 something along those lines.

Powercruise is the best event going imo. where else can you go and be encouraged to race other people, do burnouts, drift and just drive like a maniac. i can't wait to enter in the Sydney one.

Lookin at the latest cruise list there are atleast 30 zeds of sorts in WA

would be great to have atleast 15 of them at this even, you wont regret it, it is the most fun you can have with your car without spending loads of money of track fees.

 

So what exactly happens? you jump on the track and drive around for how long you want? I'd love to enter this

 

Nah, they have split times for what they call "Powercruise" where a bunch of cars (20 at a time i think) go on track and you give your car some.
Its twice a day for that but they also have
off street racing
Power skids
Drifting
Burnout comp

its a great weekend out. for each powercruise session you can get out on the track 2-3 times over 3 days, twice a day thats alot of time on the track, so much fun.

 

we were there filming all last year.. its a good event for drivers... its alot more than 20 cars lol... more like 40-50 cars on the track at the same time and its near on do what you want... rolling start drags down the straight, skids, just keep moving and dont be a douche and you can do what you want...

then yeah there as set comps, off street drags, power skids, burn outs so on and so forth...

I find the 130kph limit crapola.

 

oh boo hoo lol.... they are letting you do near anything on a race track with a bunch of other cars... its a pretty sweet deal.. plus besides the straight there isn't anywhere you will get up to that speed.... and its not that strongly inforced on the straights anyway.

 

Yeah true, been watching some vids of older events and im pretty sure some of the people are doing alot more than 130kph.

 

oh they are... took the drift cars out last year and lined up against a few utes and drag cars... yeahhhhh we didnt bother looking at the speedo lol... you just go flat til you hit the tower then jump on the brake before the corner...

plus its not always about the speed.. on the long track over the hill most kick it out all the way up the hill... skids after skids.... :br:

was thinking about coming along to this as a few of my mates from down south are. was wondering what prices were if u could just spectate. also one of my mates dads is a part of the race scene and he has a box for there race team.
