POWER STEERING PUMP

Hi Guys, Im still in the process of removing this TT engine. How do I loosen the power steering belt? Which is the best way to remove the Pump?

The best way is NOT remove it. Leave pump and belt,undo the A/C compressor and push it to the side, lift the engine about 150mm and disconect the alternator, when the engine is on the stand you can easily remove( and replace when ready) the accessories

 

Baron's right, best to leave it in place.

 

Question, you are removing an engine, yet you don't know how to loosen a pulley belt,
am I missing something? You've done this sort of thing before,yes?

 

Yes, I have done this before, But not on one of these( Mainly v8s) Its a little hard to see what does what down there, especially because its all covered in oil, dirt and crap!
