Power Mirror Switch Brainwave

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's wondered this: "I have a series 1 Z32 and I want my power mirror switch to light up like the series 2 so I can see the damn thing and not have to feel around for the right button."

No...? I'm the only one? Oh well, here's what I was thinkin' anyways...

Luminous. Paint.

Over time, the white lettering and arrows on my power mirror switches have rubbed off. Ideally it will be a OEM-identical font--a clean, OEM-looking white during the day, and will emit a subtle white glow at night. Bam, no more guesswork and switch fondling, right?

What d'ya think?

 

it'll get rubbed off from use IMO, but what do I know. You get used to the location of the switches!

and its probably past your bed time.

 

Errrm. I've owned a Zed for 12 years and have only ever had to adjust the mirrors 3 or 4 times. Low hanging fruit.

rofl dangit, i was thinking about the window controls. of course i don't need my mirror switch to glow in the dark XD it barely even works

 

Could work. I'd cover them with some thick clear tape to stop the paint getting dirty and wearing

 

They light up in the s2, this warrants further investigation! :zlove:

 

Yeah drivers side switch on mine lights up - I'm sure all youd need is an S2 switch and voila!

Wait a second - don't you have an s2?
