Potential ECU problem

    Hey guys,

    I'm starting to take apart my newly acquired 1990 manual TT and after taking out the passenger foot panel i seem to have found a bit of a frankenstein set up.

    Just wondering if anyone knew the correct part numbers for the engine ECU and the manual transmission ECU that should be in there.

    It looks to me from a google search that i have an TWO auto transmission ECUs (23710 41P13 and 31036 40P00) PLUS an engine ECU which doesn't even seem to be for a 300zx (28505 43P50).

    Whats going on?!?! Some please help. I've read that i can use an auto transmission ecu on a manual but i'm baffled as to why there seems to be 2 of them in there. I would really just prefer to have a manual transmission ecu and just the one of them would be fine!!!

    there is the main ecu and a auto control ecu they are meant to be there. Your Zx probably started its life as an auto. The other ecu could be cruise control ecu. A photo would help..

    I also seem to have another auto ecu 18930 40P00.

    Just want to know which ecu part numbers are supposed to be there.

    Identifying what needs to come out/stay/be replaced.
