Huge thank you to all who called by today to visit Des' Father-in-Law Doug at Woodcroft. We had the privilege to meet Doug's family and several friends/neighbors. They are a great group of folk and clearly Doug is in the very best of hands during his illness. It was very moving to see how thrilled he was when all those Zeds started rolling in to his street and he walked the full length of the block to inspect each and every car. Des successfully kept the visit a total secret from Doug(until the first few cars arrived)and then went on to show enormous hospitality to all of his previously unknown visitors. We wish the whole family group every happiness, now and in the future. I feel humbled by the experience.:zlove::zlove: Any one with pics, please feel free to add them to this thread.
Great words Lloyd. It was really nice to be a part of that today. Fantastic hospitality to unknown persons. We should have a Doug cruise, before that option is no longer available. What a great day.
i think it was great that we were able to make his day, he seemed touched by the fact so many people had interest in making the experience unique. and the cruise was great a little cold, but very nice cars and roads, and as my first cruise i very much enjoyed it.
Well done Lloyd for organising the visit. Our Zed family is a truly unique, compassionate and caring group of people. :zlove:
Thoroughly enjoyed my first cruise, those roads are insane! Keeping up with Wizard was heaps of fun in the first half hour Doug was very touched by what unfolded today, and his family were more than warm to us. His black zed was nice and in form too! Nice to catch up with some of the genuine enthusiast of our forum, and also to meet and put faces to a few NSW / ACT members! Had fun guys, no thanks to Steven for organising the cruise/route! Cheers Greg.

Thanks Steven for organising the cruise. Well done, nice route was chosen. The silent cruise you picked looks ok to me. Couldnt see the start point tho, im old & blind. Cheers.
Fantastic Day what a fantastic day once again. Thanx All !! great to see some old and new faces. the NSW cruises are getting bigger and bigger each cruise Keep it up everyone. Lloyd what a great idea to drop past to surprise Doug , would love him to attend a cruise one day. Doug was so surprised & happy and overwhelmed when the Zed's came rolling into his street with that Zed rumble, we turned Doug's Street into a Zed car park. a great thank you to Doug & Family for hosting a great afternoon. Doug my prayers are with you & your family. I spoke to Lloyd & Lynn about organising a cruise for Doug and we were very interested in making this happen. as many of you don't know but Doug is very ill, i think the Aus300zx community should extend their hand and give Doug a day to remember as Doug has never been on a cruise before. Doug has owned 2 TT Zed's and his current Zed has no rego due to him being unable to drive his baby. I'm willing to help organise a Doug Cruise as mentioned above. please PM for further "Doug Cruise" details before cruise posted. - Bill & Kristi
