The seven dwarfs went off to work in the mine one day, while Snow White stayed at home to do the housework and cook their lunch. However when she went to the mine to deliver their lunches, she found there had been a cave-in, and there was no sign of the dwarfs. Got back from London 2am yesterday also also got around to Scotland, Spain, Italy, and France.. Got over 2500 pictures to prove it! Only seen 1 zed in 4 weeks!!! and that was at Earls Court. Yes i have pics, but the first 250 photos at still with the missus in the UK Seen a couple 180's in Italy, and France. But that was about it. Sorry guys, but i personally think London itself is the biggest shit hole. I can understand now why my grandparents left 50 years ago and never went back. Hey Zealous where in Europe does your contiki tour take you?
Cool, really dissapointed about missing Silverstone .... I will keep an eye out, I am a member of the UK forum but dont post much. I thinking of staying in the UK for a few months longer, will just see how much I like it first! [got my brit passport all ready ] The Contiki Tour takes me... London - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Munich - Venice - Rome - Pisa - Florence - Lucerne - Paris - London. All most all of my 'Must see' destinations! Works out quite good value for money i think, I was going to buy a railpass and do my own thing, but figured- I dont know my way around and would more than likely miss alot. Contiki you just sit back, piss on and party!. I'm travelling on my own so at least i wont get 'lonely'...
thats what we did We had Euro Rail passes. The missus had the whole thing sorted for us before i got there We flew to Spain and had a villa near Alicante for about a week, from there we made day trips on Renfe fast trains to Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona.. and local trips around Alicante to Santa Pola etc. Then got over night train to Italy where we stayed a week in this beautiful little town called Casianna Alta about 30 k's from the train in Pontedera. From there we made day trips to Rome, Florence, Pisa and around our local area as well. Then got the overnight train again to Paris. Stay in Paris for a few nights, then got the ferry to England before training it up to Lancaster for a few more days, from there we did Newcastle and Edinburgh/Scotland. Then back to London for a few more days in London. Before coming back home again Via Kuala Lumpur. Spewing i didnt see Venice!! its the only place i picked for the whole trip that i wanted to see and i didnt see it! Arh well. Have a great trip! Florence was the pick of Italy for me, Pisa was nice, Rome i hated, but mind you i was there on Easter Monday! It was fun and a pain in the arse making your own way around sometimes. Like getting to Florence... I was going out of my head looking for the train to 'Florence' - apprently its really called Firenze! Glad my missus was on the ball! I would still be looking the so many different trains and buses its not funny! Oh and if an old guy in a green jumper shows you the 'best way' to get to the leaning tower, A. dont go that way! and B. he wants 3 euro for his trouble... Oh and 8 hours later if you run into him again.. He will ask for 3 euro to get the train home, cause he wont remember you. Have a great trip!
