I am looking at maybe spending around 2 grand on my Z . It has the above mods all ready and the engine seems strong . I am going to replace the clutch shortly and am thinking of lightened flywheel and maybe underdrive pulley at the same time .Whats going to give me the biggest bang for my bucks after the above mentioned items . Thanks .

This is the clutch and flywheel I am considering buying .

You did not mention ECU upgrade.

If you haven't then you won't be able to give it much more boost. A UD pulley is a good mod but there are disadvantages of lightening your flywheel, it will rev quicker but you will loose the kinetic energy stored in the weight of the flywheel causing you to use more fuel but if you don't do long trips it won't be a worry.

Is your boost controller electronic? A manual one works fine enough but there is nothing like having cabin control.

The only other thing to do then is some 555cc injectors which will then allow you to make your turbo's puff as much as they can but to get the most out of your added boost, an intercooler upgrade will be in order. A set of Nismo injectors in OZ will cost around $1600 or about $1200 if you get them from the US. BTW you will need another ECU upgrade to run the larger injectors. Ah, the quest for more ponies just squeezed your hip pocket a little more

    Ok ecu upgrade

Is this a matter of buying an aftermarket chip and installing or are there other avenues to remap the existing ecu . Sorry for the ignorance but new to these cars .Thanx

Clean all electrical connections - cost = free, benefit

= immense especially if ones like injector connectors are corroded. Also check error codes.

The zed engine (when tuned and properly maintained) has a heap of grunt. I have lost count the number of people who have come to me wanting more 'bolt-on' power ready to spend big bucks.

A quick diagnostic shows they are in safety boost (sooo many people have been in SB since they bought the car so have never experienced what it is capable of) and things like TB's dirty, fuel injector connectors corroded, intercooler hoses loose, accel cable loose etc...

A lazy hour fixing all these and the car has heaps more power and costs bugger all... THEN if the owner wants more power they can start the bolt-on's knowing that they are staring from a strong base...

google zemulator, you would then need a dyno

I'd prefer getting a wideband setup, and tuning with zem on the highway, so you don't actually need a dyno, but different strokes for different folks i suppose.
