Well after printing out and reading tech article on taking the plenum of i set out to the shed confident and worked on her taking of what seemed to be endless amounts of tubes, connections, pipes, bolts and brackets... And am now up to the part wher im suppose to ' pull plenum of forward and up ' Now i need to know something here b4 i go anyfurther.... Is the seal diffulcult to 'crack' or am i still in need of 'unbolting' somthing??? Because when i tried to pull it of it seemd to be still very fastend.... I am now referring to you guys for help before i go any further in attepting to force it of...... wat could i be missing or is it just 'hard' to pop of....

    Any help appreciated Thanx.

    plenum

yeah mine was hard to get off as well. I gave it a light tap with the compothane hammer. and off she came. The gasket takes a fair bit of persuasion to break.

    Hard to say Jesse...

Not knowing what you've removed and what maybe is still connected. I'm assuming there are no bolts left in the centre of the plenum and that they have all been removed. Also the pipes coming from the EGR and PCV valves have been undone.

The seal between upper and lower plenum shouldn't take too much force to break it. Is there any movement at all? Once you get a slight upwards movement you'll know the gasket seal is broken and then if it's still hard to lift off there is something else holding it down. Try rocking it from side to side.

Sorry can't think of anything else at this point.

    Me too.

Once the bolts were removed, the plenum lifted straight out. I guess each car will be different though.
