Plenum modification for injector removal?

I remember reading somewhere there was some dremelling or something you can do to your plenum to allow the removal of your injectors with it still in place....

did a search and cant find it.

any help??

i think you get a new rail or something which is on a different angle? i think 90TTZ (Karl) or someone that done a rebuild done this.

do it, just take off what you need enough to remove the bolt and injector....

if you stuff it up then plenum pull ...... shouldnt be hard to find another plenum aswelll if by chance u stuff it up. but i dont think you will

 

plenum is already off i was just thinking about injector upgrades getting powder coated 2morrow

in all seriousness. once you have the egr removed from teh plenum . doing a plenum pull literally takes 10 mins,, 20 tops!!

 

i did the dremel mod for injector no 1. made it really easy to remove it (i had alot of problems getting this injector to seat in the rail properly).

Much easier than a plenum pull but dont even think of attempting it unless you've previously pulled the injectors out. coz they will be in there hard as a rock! once you've broken that seal they've had for 18 years it is alot easier!

 

When I removed my plenum I grounded of all the secitons so I can pull the injectors with the plenum on. Good modd IMO and pretty simple if you do it with a file there is no way you can stuff it up but while your at it polish your plenum I polished mine up to 1000 took about 4 7 hour days lol and now its just sitting in the shed cbf anymore lol
