Guys anyone know a lenient and friendly mechanic in Sydney who would be able to help me out with a Pink slip in NSW considering the car is modified? I know that some mecahinics are tight as while some others just couldnt really be bothered. Full mods list is in the link below as I currently have the car for sale. I am thinking it might be worth doing that since the car has NSW plates already instead of getting thorugh Regency in SA. I have better chances of selling the car registered obviuosly. Please pm or leave a message here if you know someone, even better know someone personally. I would so appreciate, Cheers!

Is it currently registered in NSW? If it is and you know someone there just re-register it in that state...

The car is in Adelaide, but I am prepared to transport her to Sydney to my parents place in the hope of a pink slip!

If you freight your car over here, arrange an address in sydney for it to be registered in, and organise return freight, I will get your car pinked.

That said, wouldn't it be easier just to get the thing engineered and register it in adelaide?

    adelaide... is bad...

hey... adelaide is bad for this sort of stuff....

mate had a t04g on a supra rated to 600hp and they engineers wouldn't certify it.. the car was as quiet was a sewing machine .. but no!

in the end he needed a donor car... and got through ok... as for a zed well im sure they would look but a 2530 would look stock from the out side?

its things like height and exhaust u need to watch here.. and of course a stock computer and airflow meter are essential to pass!

Regency can be a pain. I rekon better for me to get it re registered in NSW and keep it on NSW rego until later. Yeah Sydney would be a bit better for me as I have a address there (my parents') and I wouldnt be able to drive it to broken hill as its outa rego by 7 weeks. PMs replied and sent in regrads to above messages. Thanks heaps guys.

So at this stage if I know definately that with all the mods its got, its gona go through pink in Sydney thats what I will persue.

I will try see if I can advertise in those country papers as well.

    Broken Hill is 500 k's

Sydney is 1300 to 1600 k's, depends which way..

You can still use your parents address, it doesnt matter where you get the inspection done.. I cant undestand why you have to take it to Sydney.

Car Carrier will cost about $800 to Sydney..

Thanks brooksie, I can understand where you are coming from. I was prefering Sydney over Broken Hill cause if by any chance the mechnic does not give me the pink slip I can stoy the car at my parents. If in case it needed some parts for the pink slip, I thought Sydney would be an easier base to source them and re-assess for pink slip. I need to get the pink before 4th of june.

I can understand that the mechanic would be pretty slack, but by chance if he decided that he would pick up a few things on the car I would then have to bring the car back to Adelaide or take it to Sydney, as ZX parts are not the most available ones as you would know. Even then in Broken Hill its probably possible to get the parts- matter of time I guess. But I am just running short on time as well!

Many thanx mate. I am still trying to sell in Adelaide as is, however it looks like I might HAVE to pink it in NSW- perhaps Sydney, if not then Broken Hill of course.
