on the recent perth dyno day, my car got up to 177kw midway through its run about 3000rpm) and began pinging its tits off apparently... im only running 10psi, and the a/f ratios are fine (checked on dyno readout) the cas appears to be in the stock postion... any ideas or avenues i could persue??? ta
Check the timeing belt is fitted correctly, quite a few are one tooth out, also check fuel preasure, the timeing should be 15deg stock setting. If the cas looks to be somewhere near the center, and your t/belt is out, the timeing may be to far advanced!
yeah ive thoguht it mite be out which was causing a slightly rough idle... mite have to get it checked out now
Run a ConZult or ZTune on it while driving like a told you to, and check to see what the timing is doing under load.
did the dyno readout show A/F ratio? I thought they were only doing the power and boost curves? Scan the printout
I asked to have a look at my A/F and they displayed it for a bit on the screen.. no printed version. My boost dropped off 3-4psi and it got richer and richer... had the stock recircs off last night to see if they'd hold boost and they do so farked if I know. oh yea.. this is somebody elses thread.
they stopped the dyno run just as the a/f ratios were leveling out, so i didnt get to see it at high rpm i just asked them to print out the graph with the a/f ratios on it
