Does anyone know where I could fine a PIAA oil filter?
It's for an external set up on my zed. The PIAA oil filter is about an inch or 2 longer than the original and looks like this,:eek:l

You dont have to by a PIAA filter......>>

If you take it off you will probably find it is just a standard Z9 or similar. Pull it off and take it to somewhere like Repco who have a big range of filters and get them to match it.

    PIAA......>>>

...is just a VERY upmarket accessory company in Japan. They market their own brand clothing, lights (spotlights, replacement headlights etc), watches along with replacement parts.

One thing about PIAA gear is its VERY expensive, and such, is not marketted very much outside Japan.

PIAA was the major sponsor for the Australian Safari for a couple of years, and supplied the committee members with jackets (so you "stood" out, at overnight stops, sometimes not a good thing).

I have two of these jackets, they are a beautiful jacket, made from white satin (which mixes well with red dust), but where do you wear them now? There was price tags still on them, when we got them (in Yen), and the Japanese Competitor liason officer translated the price into $2500 australian dollars. Obviously paying for the name.

Maybe I should sell them on ebay, there were only 16 of these jackets (with badges) in existance, and I have 2 of them.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Or from RedZedMikey for $5.00 if you buy some of his oil!

Search "Group Buys" section re Valvolene

RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

You don't need to buy oil to get a filter ...

    Valvoline VO4 filters $5.00 each.
Valvoline 10W/50 full synthetic oil $26.00 for 5 litres.

I get good support from Valvoline in my track endeavours and can pass the savings on.

    Oil filters

Does anyone else have an external set up on their zed? Just wondering do you think they might of changed the diameter of the oil filter base? Would it make a difference if the oil filter was larger? (better filtration)the guy that owned the zed befor me spent alot of money on the whole oil set up (braided lines, original and after market oil coolers for transmission, Vein pressure controller, eg)I don't really want to take the filter off until I know what size it is. What do you guys think?
