Hey mate all good! I am of the opinion that if something can go wrong it will go wrong, and it's best to mitigate issues before they cause any damage. Not my fault I'm a grandma driver too.. never would have thought everything would be in such great condition given the km's i've thrown on the car.

Hey Dave - sucks about your fuel woes! I'm under the impression that the fuel pressure would have been much more than the 40psi people are quoting... Since you busted the hose BEFORE the FPR you'd be dealing with pump pressure (minus the pressure loss across the fuel filter). I did the same thing in my pulsar years ago and was also lucky enough to avoid a fire. :)

I would like to thank everyone who pitched in to make this a great tech day, and for the help of the club with everything related to my car on the weekend. I would name names, but the list would be too long to be believable, and I'd feel bad if I neglected to mention anyone

Either way, massive thanks to all and I will hopefully be able to return the favour at future tech days. :)

    My Car goes fast :p
Cheers to ezzupturbo, ChilledPain, Awegazm & Gargoyle. I couldn't of done it with out you guys!

Tomorrow there is a LOT on the cards.
Gargoyles boost leaks are gone BUT we have to replace his failing water pump. My car is getting some more suspension work and some relocating of certain components. Then Gargs & I will bleed my brakes. I was slack today so I'll let you know how it goes Andy. Also, great job bolting my panel down. No more flapping in the breeze :) Thanks mate, I'm totally stoked as I've been trying to rig something like that up since the accident.

I'll be down on Wednesday (I can't let you guys have all the fun)

    Cyaz All Then :br:

I have a spare water pump if John can't get one elsewhere.

Well, the tech day still aint over...

After the dismal result of putting in my spare engine, we got it running finally on the Wednesday.

    Probably a big-end bearing gone :(

So... Altari bit the bullet and bought an ex-members car that was being parted out, and today at his place we ripped that engine and gearbox out, ready for this Saturday.

So, if anyone was to turn up at my place on Saturday, please don't be offended if we mostly ignore you - this is the day we are going to get a working engine into the 2+0 because poor ol Andrew needs the money!

Todays effort: stuffed engine out, good engine in.

Tomorrow to connect her all up and then add all the fluids, and then just tune and we should be done.

    She's alive!!!

Andrew left a bit after 5:00, and everything is ok, except for a half completed AIV delete. Needless to say, that has to be done, and then it's all good.

AND that engine really pulls strong!!!?? Dunno what about it, but it's nice!
    Remember, this is a NA!

Looks like a job well done guys. They were 2 busy days. That video is great and the accompanying music is gold. The infamous "Two Idiots" should do something like this...they could get a whole series going...haha.

Thanks mate. Yer, when I looked at it I just instantly thought "Benny Hill!" :)

Yes, the idiots could do something similar. It isn't hard to set up a camera on a tripod. I was lucky that my video camera can do timed or periodic shots.
