When Scott Smith did the original GB on TT.net, he offered plain Hard Pipes, Welded Bosses for the HKS SSQV on the pipes, or welded bosses with the BOV fitted and supplied.
isn't that an easy canary? you're not trying to make the officer work hard to find something requiring a permit?
If you're after this kind of thing UAS has a street legal kit available, check out the pics Easy enough to do a GB if enough people are interested in a kit like this?
Sorry for my ignorance, but in the pic above i see the timing belt covers are not there....is it alright to have it uncovered....i mean wont it be more prone to snap or something....i have a hole through mine since the pulley came loose as one bolt was missing in the tensioner and snapped the bolt on the pulley or something like that. Anyways i just bought a replacement cover.
Not more prone to breakage but the merits of removing are debateable. Johns car (pictured) is a track car so very little risk of foreign objects getting in there. Benefits include lighter, and runs cooler. Personally I will be running my new motor (street car) sans covers but I'm sure there are people who would tell you not to.
shafts gday mate, im after a lightweight one peice drive shaft for TT manual!! there was a GB ages ago for this
Yeah, depending on price and when and if you could get them I might be interested to. Some more details would be good
