Parking lights won't turn off ??

I've got a strange one here guys. Took the zed for a quick spin tonight, came home switched her off, turned the lights to off but it's sitting with the parkers on (fog lights, cluster, tail lights). I've tried turning her on then off again, turned and pressed everything I can think of. Even searched the user manual for a hidden button I'm not aware of. Does it sound like the light turning knob is broken and not registering the off position

Couldn't find anything similar under search either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I just want to go to bed.

 

Try the fog light button on the right of your cluster above your cruise control (if you have it). That will run all lights except head lights. It also has an LED in the switch which illuminates when on.

I swear I never touched the fog light switch though. Was just chatting to someone else about it and they reckon on some cars (I'm unsure of zeds as nothing in the manual) if you hit the high beams that can automatically turn your fog lights on irrespective of whether you hit the fog button yourself. They'll stay on until you hit the fog switch off again. Strange

 

Can't say that happens with the zed. Could've easily bumped the switch. Glad I could help. Now you can sleep easy tonight haha.

All i can say is that honestly i didnt even know that button existed....

 

oh mate those ****ing fog lights, i leave mine on all the time.

Or i leave the lights on becouse it doesnt beep at me, due to the turbo timer.
Im usualy outa the car by then.

 

Had this happen to me when I first got the zed. Felt like a fool. lol

 

There is an easy modification to make the car beep if the door is open and the parkers / headlights lights are on.

I can honestly say it's never happened to me I get to know my car the day I buy it, because it's such an exciting moment haha.

 

Haha yeah this happened to me too within a few weeks of getting the zed lol

 

bahaha not as bad as wat i did , i duno if sum1 ells has done it but when i 1st got the car, i never really took notice of the lights system and didnt realise the the indicator if it was pushed forwed turned the high beam on, and thort that the big light icon next to the light knob was the high beams and the small one was low beams,

but was driveing the car and i must of acidently pushed the indicator forwed at some point and it got dark so i turned my lights on and im like umm wtf!! whys my high beams on and im like hmm wait mayb my low beam is brokenn , and ended up driving like 15-20 mins with my highbeams on and anoying evryone haha!! :$

 

damn that button.... i parked at work 1 day and as i was rushing to get out of the car i hit the button and didnt realise... went to leave and the car wouldnt start and i parked on the street in north sydney.. i had to block of a main st for a couple of minutes to jumpstart the thing...lolz this was peakhour bout 5.30pm

 

Lol, 300 high beams is equivalent to normal cars parkers (-_-') mines like, lil broken, it doesnt click, it only takes a slight nudge to lock it on.

I always drive with my blinker on too, it rarely turns itself off, i must look like the biggest noob.

used to always happen to me when i used to have my skyline, turbo timer gets you because it doesnt beap till its switched off, happened to me a few times finishing at 10pm> in the middle of cabramatta >.<
