top stuff, paul ..full of admiration for your work and application ... is looking good ...!!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Paul that looks fantastic! Can you note down a few things that are required for a DIY paintjob? Are you in the business or have you picked up a few things along the way and decided to give it a go? What tools, paint, etc do you use? What are the costs involved? I'm thinking of doing a complete respray once my engine is out for the turbo upgrade next year. My zed has been painted at least three times (i can see yellow, red and black!?!?!) Please post up or email me some more pics!!!
That looks like one of the best spots to paint clean heaps of space and enclosed, where do i get one of these paint shed, are they cheap?
Fantastic effort Paul! look great id kill for that much room! well maby not kill, just badly injure.
Paul - a well endowed man Paul - congratulations, irrespective of anything else, you are clearly a man with SHED others can have money, fame, women, stratospheric IQ's, but [ if true Aussie males] they would all gladly swap their endowments for SHED You have it and I am ashamed to admit it - I have none. totally awesome
Re: Paul - a well endowed man :LOL: thanks guys i will do a full write up once everything is done. if every thing goes to plan should be done by next week  personaly tho i would not recomend a diy for a first timer. i spent alot more time and $ then i had expected but in the end i think i will end up with better results then getting a cheap respray
Only thing that surprises me - considering everything else that you removed in the prep - why did you leave the rear bar in place? I removed mine for painting to ensure good paint cover around both guard and bar edges.
Re: Looks awesome! the first layer of clear went on today here are some pics using 2 pack paint primer/filler then color and clear i didnt remove the rear bar coz i didnt see a need to also didnt have any problems getting paint to all areas
spraying process Hi Paul Im going to respray my car soon after I done with the wide body kit, only finish one side. I just wondering what is the process involved when u respray your car. u spray the primmer first then the base coat but did u cut it back with 1200 and 1500 grits then polished it up before u spray the clear coat? And did cut it back and polish it again on every layer of clear coats? That what i heard how u can get a deep and shiny finish, it alots of work unless u have a better way of doing its. And what brand of two pack are u using? Im thinking spraying mine with acrylic cause i heard 2 pack are extremly dangerous if u dont have an air supply mask.
