Hey guys just bought a outer passenger window molding for my car, the one that sits at the base of the window, my old one used to sit right up on the window but this one sits about 2-3mm away from the window, I'm worried when it rains water might start filling up in the door, is there anyway to get it to conform to the window?

Have you pushed the end clip into it above the handle? ;)

Yeah I did lol the bit right under the door pillar is perfect fit, its from where the glass starts to the mirror where the gap is? Id post a photo but its really hard to notice in pictures!

I heated the trim up with a hair dryer and got it to mould itself closer to the window but there is still a small gap that lets water into the door.

I tried pouring water on the window and half goes down the door and the other half comes out of the drainage holes on the bottom of the door, i take that its probably not a good thing water is entering the door for it to drain out of the holes, do you guys think it will be alright or should i change back to my old trim piece??

The only problem with the old trim piece is that it looks like crap because a piece about the size of a 10cent coin has torn off where the bolt on the window touches it when you wind it up and down.... :bash:

    Cheers

    misszen Red ones go faster!

    Obviously not an oem piece????

You shouldnt have to mould it (I would'nt)- it should fit.
I would get one that fits???
