    Maybe >>>

If teeth finally stripped during low rpm (ie cranking), cams remained in sync, possibly no valve interference.

    Fingers crossed, Alan.

There was a recent forum member who's timing belt failed at idle, and his valves were OK. I got my fingers crossed dude !!

    Wow

    That's bad.

If there was good tension on the belt it may have still held together, if you didn't hear any loud crunching sound it's probably ok?

    New belt on

New belt on and 160psi +/- 5psi on all cylinders.

Time to take out a Lotto Ticket (although I think I have used my luck for a while)

For background in Vehicle has done 147,000Km's I purchased at 135,000Km's and was assured the belt had been done. bbbzzzzzzzz wrong answer....

I would recommend that if you buy a Zed and did not SEE yourself that a belt went in ... assume it didn't ....
As the Advert goes "JUST DO IT!!!!"

Car should be finished tomorrow ... bit busy today unfortunately .....

my car had the 100000K service sticker on it.. looking all legit.. saying the belt had been done 6000k ago and about 18 months ago.. and low and behold.. when i pulled the old belt out (didnt look that bad, but it looked atleast 80000k old.. all cracked and worn), water pump was old too.. it did have a new thermostat though..

    dont trust that sticker guys!

Those pics should definitely be put into the tech section
