Day 12 - Engine is in! Well it took a few days longer than expected, that's what happens when you spend hours looking for parts that you removed years ago! Always missing bits and bobs but glad I've got a few VG's around to steal stuff from. The engine is finally in and looks damn hot!!!! Unfortunately I left my camera at the workshop so there are no photos to upload today. I collected yet another clutch today too, this on is the right one. I also picked up the seal for the gearbox front housing and had to go back to nissan again for a clutch pivot. Oh, I also did the TT pump mod, removing the rear pressure veins and attacking the pump with the welder. I'll have a big update for you guys tomorrow, with lots of pics!

Day 13 - Still no pics! hahhaah you guys are going to hate me... I took some decent photos again today but I kinda left the camera at the workshop again! Blame Andrew for that becuase we had his Z back on the dyno this arvo and we got carried away with other stuff. Anyway, today was another write off.... I spent half the day looking for my damn throw-out bearing fork... I made a bit of a discovery though, I gave up looking for it and pulled one from a CA18 gearbox I had laying around and they're exactly the same!!!! CA18 FTW!!!!! :zlove: So yes... I think all I managed today was install the flywheel, clutch, gearbox and a few coil packs! Not very productive on my own project today, a bit of running around to be done but tomorrow is another day. I'll keep you updated. I blame you guys for not harrasing me enough!

Progress after the 2 week mark It's been a pretty long two weeks but it has gone by rather quickly! Unfortunately I couldn't meet my 'car at the painters on Saturday' dead-line but I'm pretty close to it. The past few days have been busy at work and I have to keep my business going while still making progress on my own Z! Finally... here are some photos: Engine Installation Install Rear Main & Nismo Spiggot Bearing Install Segmented Aluminium Flywheel Mmmmm grabby grabby clutch disc! Finish off with a HD Pressure Plate! Brembo's from R33 GTR! (Unfortunately there were no slotted rotors in stock at the time). And finally, engine and gearbox installed, ready to be wired up and turned over. I also modded the power steering res. It's now a VT commodore one relocated next to the brake booster. I'll throw some pics up on Monday. :zlove:
I've got some old teins in the car at the moment but the rest of the suspension is stock. I'll throw in a full load of PZP adjustable suspension arms, some urethane bushes, sway bars, etc but not at this stage, I just need to get it running and over the pits first!
