Driving on freeway yesterday sitting on 120 most of the way. when i stopped i noticed smoke rising out of engine bay! It is not leaking out of the back of the box somewhere around the top or the side.Is that redline shockproof oil blue..Maybe it was over filled. Is there a common spot in these boxes where they leak? I don't usually drive at that speed for so long.. nnnooooo! what could it be??

maybe rear main seal, you would need to get it up on a hoist to check it

It's common for redline lightweight shockproof

to do that, it's happened to me.

There is a breather valve just above the speed sensor, that is where the oil leaks out and falls onto the exhaust.

I've also had heavy weight shockproof in my gearbox but it's only ever occurred with LWSP.

    I'd go with

Z-ster. I have the Redline as well & I know of a few others that have put it in their gearboxes, with the same result. It froths up & over flows out the breather.

MMM What other type's of oil's would you's recommend? I don't want that gear clash. It does it now sometimes changing to second..

I'd go with the heavyweight shockproof

But the lightweight stuff will stop leaking soon enough, once the level drops a little.
