What is the best upgrade for oil cooling?

i have seen generic coolers can they bee fitted to the stock oil coolers hose lines and if so does a thermostat need to be fitted to insure that the oil getting back into the engine is at the right temp and not to cold.

You generally have one engine oil cooler.

The standard oem one that nissan used should do the job unless it is blocked or has deteriorated badly. And no I haven't heard of an oil cooler working too well to need a thermostat. But hey what do I know, see what others think.

ps. maybe get a larger cooler would be an upgrade if you need it.

i've seen the oil coolers from the nismo site but was wondering if that they were worth putting on or buying a generic cooler that fits on the OEM piping ?
