haven't heard anything in while pplz. Only two weeks to go, let me know if there are any dramas before the 15th please. At this stage we have 5, 6 if anyone can get hold of L0stwhite because I can't.

 

Guys, I think you had better check all is still OK with this, Aussie dollar to the YEN and the US has dropped like a stone. Down to US 0.88 today.

Quick note,

The box comes shipped full of Nissan oil. I comtemplated draining it and putting on Redline MT90 but decided the original oil is probably good to wear the box in.

Was reading on TTnet a minute ago. Bernie and Guapo have said to leave the Nissan oil in there or risk box whine.

Suggest you all do the same, leave the Nissan oil in there for 10,000Klms or so then change it out.

Still waiting

Simon has been waiting to hear from another of his suppliers to see if he can get a better price (4 weeks). I wall call him again today. This means if there is anyone else who want in on this deal you still have a chance at the price listed above with the possibility of a better price.

 

I'm pretty keen to jump in on the GB now also

Thanks Max, I've been waiting to hear if this better price was eventuating...got my money sitting and waiting

 

With the way the Aus $$ is going we are going to need that better price.

no word from Simon just yet but I have been approached by a memeber from the forum who can supply them. Stay tuned.

 

I may have to bail out. An unexpected engine rebuild is costing a few $$$s at the moment and my pockets aren't bottomless.

 

Another motor

Pete? what happened this time?

 

The ceramic broke off one of the park plugs and got down the side of a piston causing the ring to seal and the bore to be damaged. On top of that the high boost I have been running caused the main bolts to streatch slightly and the crank girdle to move slightly damaging the crank.

Crank is being machined, block is being bored with 10thou over size pistons going in and everything is getting the once over. The inspection revealed that the cam journals in the head had started to oval slightly so they are being remachined too.
