Just did a manual conversion to the TT as well as an motor replacement and now the stock boost gauge does not operate, the needle stays on the extreme left of the scale.Do these operate fron vacuum/boost or are the electrically driven from a sensor?
Done some searching but no info here. I did find a little black box unit on in the drivers side (RHD) corner of the engine bay which has a 3 wire (brown, grey and another) plug to it and this box unit has a vac pipe on it but goes nowhere. Anyone have an idea what this is for. Thought it may be the sensor for the boost gauge so connected it to a vac source but still nothing.
    Thanks

Yes that is the sensor for the OEM boost gauge, it is supposed to be connected to the balance pipe i believe, others will confirm
