haven't heard from panel shop about how they've gone putting side skirts on my car, they said i'd get it friday but could b bad!

Aus 300ZX Sydney Observation Cruise

Please note this is not a race. You will be driving on public roads and must obey all the rules as required by law. It is advised that you do not attempt this observation cruise by yourself, instead a passenger should answer the questions while the driver concentrates on the road.

Meeting Point

Meet at car park number 6 between the Olympic Station and the brick pit at 9:00am, Sunday 20 Jan. It is a long cruise and we will depart at 9:30am after due homage is paid to the wonderful Geoffrey Wyatt. Please throw chocolate (gently) or pictures of boobies as he likes them, a lot!

 

Will most people still go if its raining?

Geoff can't predict the weather, but he can predict when a comet is going to fall out of the sky and land on your pride and joy, so i would stay on his good side if i was you. :biggrin: :biggrin:

Wet weather alternative

The Bureau of meteorology report is for a few showers and a chance of a thunderstorm. I ave had my car out in the rain and yes it leaks like a sieve but I am still going.

However here is an alternate plan
1. Meet as per above
2. Follow the cruise to barrenjoey but skip the climb to the lighthouse
3. Cruise to west head but don't stop other than toilet break of course.
4. Cruise back through Boobin head
5. Instead of turning into Galston Gorge, continue to Hornsby and park near the Hornsby Inn where we can meet for lunch. The address and map can be seen here: http://www.hornsbyinn.com.au/content/map

Then return to cruise and finish at Parramatta Leagues club rather than lake Parramatta.

Hopefully that will allow for plenty of Zed driving and a few stops for socialising without getting too wet.

We can discuss it further here or at the Car park 6 tomorrow morning.

...and by the way Ali... Nigga I have a meteorite with your name on it waiting at just the right coordinates.

hahaha - ill be there rain, no hail and no shine. Damn comets, just missed one the other day by about a metre. Bring the comets on Geoff they cant catch the zed lol

 

I'm intending to come

I'm in Sydney this weekend. Came down specially for the cruise. But seem to have a slight coolant leak from back of engine and must keep an eye on it.

If it's too bad then I may have to pass. Just finished 100K service, radiator clean and series 2 PTU upgrade so this is annoying. I've previously removed all the underplenum cooling pipes and simplified the rear of engine plumbing. I'm trying to find the leak and fix but this rain makes it difficult.

 

Just keep an eye on the temp gauge and keep ....

topping it up. Is going to be cool by the looks of it. We maybe able to help find it,

Bummer.... had some real live ones to throw at you, Geoff (a former 'Miss Hestia' model who works for a plastic surgeon... true!!). Regrettably, I have instead to proffer an apology for non-attendance as I am now forced to evaluate retirement villages for my dear old Mum.... don't think my divine passenger will speak to me again!!

I even packed my fix Mikes car kit! Throw your mum in the passenger seat and take her for a ride that'll liven her up . Hope she's ok mate.

Hehehe.... that would finish her off!! She used always tell my sister she hated riding in the Zed 'cause it made her feel like a 'floosy'....
Think I'll be even more depressed by day's end...nursing homes just don't appeal, especially after a dear old 'neighbour' of Mum's passed away at the hospital the other day.
