Thanks to all who replied to my thread "DREADED VIBRATION"

    cost

After many phone calls,I got it done for $350 supplied and fitted.went ther on a Thursdsy,he crawled undernesth measured it and made it up on the next day.I went back on the following Tusday and waited while it was done...few probs with the exhaust in the way but all ok took just over two hours. My NA was imported last year and still had the original shaft etc on it.the centre bearing took some getting out due to probably put in by the japanese factory robots. xtremely happy with the car now, used to know when I was going over 60k without looking at the speedo, have to look now!mite get booked hehe.

    Beats me too

A center bearing is like $70 plus installation.

A properly set up 2 piece tailshaft is always going to be better than a one piece. There IS a reason why the manufacturers design them that (more expensive) way rather than a single piece.

I must admit though, that it can be difficult to line up the 2-piece properly. On my old Jag MK2, I never got it right, even though I took it out and had it rebuilt.

Probably coz a one piece works out a lot cheaper over the life of the car, has changable uni's no further problems caused by centre bearings and a longer anti vibration life.

l went single on both my Zeds and have never looked back

My advice to anyone who asks : " go the one piece":D
