Just wondering will the standard tune run ok to drive with 600CC injectors installed or can I update to a more compatible tune that will get me going until it gets to the dyno tune. also has HKS turbos dumps ect installed.

To put it in simple terms......

    NO

The K value for your oem injectors will drown your engine if you install 600cc squirters

Try asking around for anyone who has used similar injectors and see what value they used, it should be good enough to get you up and running.

    K value

    Thanks
Just downloaded the trial nistune software and noticed you could change injector size, bought these from Arvin will ask if he knows what K value to use.
Arvin just messaged and he is unable to help, so anybody else able to help???

Theres an 'auto resize' option in there - download the Nistune manuals from the Nistune site, and start reading. Or just have a play in the menus until you find it...

Its hard getting your head around K values with the manuals - you need experience or someone like toshi to do a custom map.

Go to the nistune site and post your details of motor, injectors, auto etc
Hopefully someone will have a map already that will be close that you can use as a base.

Juts remember though - There is a risk running a k value other than what is dyno tuned for the car for obvious reasons - you do so at your own risk

You will / or should already have wideband sensors for this to ensure it is not to lean or rich

    goodluck

Try this, Tony. I think MagicMike was also the one who gave the K value last time...

The k value itself is very simple, its the rescale of the maps that is a little more difficult to get your head around.

The nistune manuals and tuning guides are very good. Have a good read of them before you start adjusting things. I recommend you fit a wide band O2 gauge if you gavent got one as yet.

    K Value

Thanks, will keep reading and hopfully it will start to make sense.
I assume this O2 wideband gauge just hooks up to the O2 sensor or do I need to buy a kit?

No, includes a new 02 sensor that requires an additional bung welded into the exhaust.

    Dyno tune

Just a quick question, if I just take it straight to the tuner will I still need to install a wide band o2?

Nah, not really. Adjust your K value as per the Nistune manuals and drive like a grandma to the tuners. They will use a wideband probe they insert into the exhaust tip.

    Trailer I think

Think I am going to put the Stock Injectors back in before the engine goes back in, I have already made a duplicate Plenum gasket and once I am comfortable that all is running well I will them do the change over and trailer it to the tuner. Thanks for your help Chrispy.
