Tried to tackle this tonight, I'm so confused. I have an '89 TT manual with deleted AIV's and am planning to get somebody else to flash a 550 tune on it. What board do I need? Do I include fitting fee now if I plan on getting that? can I have the board arrive with the 550 tune? just give me a price figure!
My understanding would be you need a Type 2 board with whatever your ECU part number is flashed on. It doesnt matter so much about the AIVs (you could ask for a 93+ flash as AIVs were deleted past this point), but you will need a 555 tune at some point. The intial tune is just to make it drivable before you take it to a dyno or get it tuned somewhere properly.
