Mmm, interesting... I have to say i prefer the 350 as far as newer zeds go. I think the biggest turn off for me is the lights - interior looks taken from the 350 zed. I think 350z + 370z engine = awesome! :zlove:
wow one day ill get 1, one day.... anyone no wat there going to be priced at and what sort of horsepower there going to have stock, cheers!
Power should be around the 245kW mark, while retail price shouldn't be too far off that of the Z33. More info will be released next month, so we'll know for sure then.
Very very nice ,(love the new roof line ) Will def be adding this to my Garage but will pick up a 240/260 whilst waiting for the price to be more resonable(secondhand) Regards Trev
2nd....the 370z looks hawwwtttt....love it :bow2: THOUGH i think the rear lights dont make it look aggressive enough....looks more cute than tough lol the rear still looks hot though :zlove:
:vomit: Just cause they've cut down on the sushi it doesn't mean they can stuff all their fish-like thinking into their cars....lights? wtf? IMHO the only section that is appealing is the door handle / 3/4 window panel area hahaha! If the price range is similar to the GTR I don't think there would be any competition between the two...
I doubt it will be as the whole reason for bringing the zed car back (350z) was to help nissan out of the big hole they were in by selling an affordable sports car for the middle class.....
I like it! Could be a little less fat round the middle, which is what I don't like about the 350, but overall a vast improvement. Imagine it with some bigger, sexier wheels and dumped a bit, it'd look pretty damn good I reckon.
Fair enough, I haven't been reading much on nissan's current crisis haha! I hope this design doesn't go further into production, seriously those head/tail lights look like a conceptual left-of-field idea - The new lines on the car are quite sexy (styling from the 240/260) but its just those lights and those wheels that make it an eyesore to look at. Forget aggressiveness, it looks like they got the hyundai design team to style those lights... Just my big fat humble opinion... Greg.
If I remember correctly, a series of bad choices and uninspired and boring passenger cars (and) the Z32 almost destroyed Nissan. Renault then bought them somewhere around the turn of the century...which saw the designs of Nissan's change into Renault-like shape. However, they also decided that reviving the Zed would be the way to go. It seems like it was pretty much a hit as well. The amount of these things I see around the streets in Brisbane these days....
Thanks for the heads up on the nissan crisis - renault you say? Explains a few things hehe. Still can't grasp the fact that they included 'Z' in the names of these past 2 abominations (350, 370). To me it's more a marketing ploy, as we all know that the Z32 was a true sports car consequently the 350Z and the 370Z will be too. Though the truth remains that these 3 designs are so far apart that somewhere, somehow along the design process, someone should have said 'No, lets call it the nissan firebird' or something...they're just not 'zeds'. Ahh well just my bullsh*t rant for today. Greg.
There are a lot of nissan enthusiasts who consider the Z32 to be an abomination, and that the true sports cars of the Nissan range were the 240/260. With Nissan moving further away from the dream with every incarnation eg 280, 300 (z31), and 300 (z32). Personally I disagree as for me the Z32 was the perfect combination of performance & looks. Just had to wait 10 years until I could afford one! And I'm glad that there is a future for the Z car name. I think it invigorates interest in the old models which was pretty evident when the 350 came out - every article mentioned or had images of the z32 and earlier models. Yes I agree that a certain amount of it is marketing, but its kinda nice knowing that our model Z32 wasn't the model that killed the Z car lineup (which looked like it was going to be the case for quite some time!)
But what is a zed... i agree with you and im not overly keen on the 350/370, but they are closer to the original 240/260 in that they are an semi-affordable sports car for the masses, which was how the 240's were marketed. A lot of people think the Z32 moved away from that a little...expensive and complicated(not that i care personally).
Hehe when you put it into that perspective, it does bring a sense of 'completeness' while owning a Z32 :zlove::zlove: They should sit down with pinafarina and rework the 300ZX, not a 350 or a 370, a 300! these days engine CC doesn't mean too much, you can get heaps of power out of a 3L (take a ferrari for example! 3.2L!) Greg.
