Bling & strongerise the rear end (yes awesome new word just there) Might have some trouble trying to make this work on the Z32 two seaters because of the fuel filler pipe.
Don't take that the wrong way, there is bling that works you know The idea is to reduce flex in the mounts for the arms and therefore keep the wheel angle as close to optimal as is possible, the stock subframe without any help will bend and twist a huge amount with race style tyres & hard launches & cornering. I dare say this will even help with axle tramp/wheel hop as less flex will reduce the springy effect of bits n bobs twisting and springing back etc. I had a good look at the project car today but decided it's a mission to make anything worth while for mass production due to the fuel filler pipe and brake line locations on the Z32.
Ok I've just ordered a set from Nismo for a R32 GT-R race car we have here that has a R33 GTS-T cradle (better squat angle). So we'll be able to check them out including trial fitting the piece that goes between the two top control arm brackets to see if it fouls on anything. This will be the only ones that will fit we believe. We will have to make the ones that go down from the traction arm bracket to the forward lower control arm bracket.
mungyz you are correct, I just checked a 2 seater on the hoist and the filler neck would be in the way for one of the braces. 2 + 2 are fine although another problem is for serious track cars that have roll centres raised from removing the gap between the cradle and the chassis, it also make fitting these braces a problem.
You need these braces more than anyone, they'll hold your bucket together. John please hurry, I doubt his zed will last much longer
thanks for the compliment , well with the power i have , what do you expect , you'll get there one day young gun . all in due time
