New United servo is opening up the road from me in North Geelong where the old Mobil used to be opposite Apco on Thompson Road. The big sign with the prices on it is advertising 100 Octane Premium. Worth it when it opens or should I stick to V-Power? Anyone have any info on the united 100 octane?
I would assume... that it would be 100 octane with the use of high amounts of ethanol. Unless you have a later model zed, or later model injectors, you should stay away from high ethanol fuels. So the theory goes anyway....
Bingo thats exactly what it is, 98 with ethanol to make it 100 octane. That's why it's quite cheap too. Stear clear unless you're tuned to run it and have suitable injectors etc. avoid united servos if you can since the ****ers put me out Of a job.
It doesn't say Ethanol anywhere though, it just says "100 Octane Premium". Wouldn't not stating ethanol be a giant legal **** up once it starts killing fuel lines and injectors?
The united up here has ethanol stickers on the bowser. Only reason was because they got in trouble for not having them.
http://www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/fuels/premium-100 definately 10% ethanol, so glad i checked before i got it from the united round the corner, sticking with BP ultimate myself.
