Take it back to where you bought it from and get it checked. If the battery is OK, check your battery cables - mine were very brittle and ended up breaking off when I installed my new battery. I put new terminals on and everything was OK. Check the battery to chassis earth wire too. There will be a simple explanation I'm sure.

Is the engine cranking? Are you getting any dash lights? Have you checked your the fuses in the fuse box near the brake master cylinder?

Did you replace the battery because of starting problems ?, if so maybe the alternator is stuffed and the car is flattening the battery to run without recharging it.

    OR

The battery may be faulty and bouncing around and so forth may have caused the fault to surface and the battery failing.

Are you in the RACV, they will come out jump start, check alternator charging. I guess not other wise you wouldn't be asking here. :)

Or like Ash's new battery a couple of weeks ago, one of the cells was dry

As said above, get it recharged and then have it tested to see if it's holding a charge in the first place in the car, if its not your alternator is likely to be dead.

    5K1TZX Its all never ending....

sounds stupid and often overlooked, wouldnt relate to this prob but thought I would add.

Did you get the correct, and a good quality battery in regards to cold cranking hours???

getting higher or less than nissan factory recommend can lead to probs with alternator and starter motor and potentially affect the cold start tune on a aftermarket ecu.

May sound silly but there could be something shorting creating a current or a light left on.

Do you have a volt meter?

Have you read batteries tech article?

Did you test your old battery before replacing it?
